Local Sculptor, Nick Pollok, created an installation just for the Earth Day Festival. ‘Unidentified Floating Objects’ transforms an otherwise neglected and overlooked public space across from Diversity Park into an intriguing and visually stimulating experience.
Says Pollock, “The world is mostly underwater. The surface of the water is the barrier to this mysterious, mostly unknown and hostile environment. Humanity is very active at this surface. This installation draws reference to and and is inspired by some of this activity and interaction. I combine the common objects and imagery and colors associated with both science and water sports such as swimming and fishing into ambiguous objects playing on both the mysteries of the deep and humor.”
